It is with sadness we announce the transition of Mrs. Ruth Washington Summers who departed this life on Thursday, December 15 2016. Residence :3009 Conservancy Lane  Charleston SC.29414 (Formally of Cottageville SC)

The relatives and friends of Mrs. .Ruth Washington Summers invite you to join with them as they celebrate the life of their loved one on Tuesday , December 20, 2016 11AM at James Chapel AME Church 1550 Mulberry Street  Charleston, SC 29407. Internment : Burr Hill Cemetery Cottageville SC

Mrs.Summers  is preceded in death by her  husband Mr. Arthur Summers parents,; Mr. Edmund Washington and Mrs. Annie B. Washington her siblings Mrs. Maybell Simmons, Mrs. Dorothy Robinson, Mr. Oliver Washington , Mr. Edmund Washington Jr, and Baby James Washington .  She is survived by her children Ms. Geraldine Smalls and Rev. Ray Summers; silblings Mr. George Washington (Beatrice); Mr. Thomas Washington  (Lillian), Mr. Nathaniel Washington (Tangela), Mr. Harold Washington (Betty) and Mr. Charles Washington ; grandchildren ,great- grandchildren, nieces ,nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends

Viewing for Mrs. Summer will be on Monday  December 19, 2016 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Dickerson Mortuary LLC.  There will be no family hour.

Viewing will also be at the church Tuesday December 20 2016  10AM until the hour of service. THERE WILL BE NO VIEWING AFTER SERVICES.
