Ms. Smith was predeceased by her father, Mr. Leon Smith.

Ms. Smith is survived by her children, Rev. Elaine Harvey (Rev. Dr. Herbert) and Mr. Leonard Rice; her mother, Ms. Lillian Smith; her brother, Mr. Randolph Chapman; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing for Ms. Smith will be on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 12:00 Noon- until the time of service at Ollie M. Dickerson Memorial Chapel.
